Situation

An industrial design & build contractor engaged Frugal as an external mechanical design resource across a changing programme of live bids and project delivery.

The relationship built on earlier project experience, allowing Frugal to contribute quickly across concept development, feasibility work, 3D coordination, technical problem-solving and selected non-standard mechanical design packages.

The real problem

The recurring need was for dependable mechanical engineering input that could be applied across varied projects and stages without each task being treated as an isolated commission.

Some work required broader engineering judgement or development of non-standard packages. Other tasks depended on clearer design inputs, stronger 3D coordination or better organisation of technical information. The continuing relationship also created opportunities to improve the design tools and working methods supporting day-to-day delivery.
