The real problem
The tasks changed from week to week, but the underlying need was consistent: dependable senior engineering input that already understood the client’s products, manufacturing context and current priorities.
The client needed support that could move between technical queries, design reviews and updates, drawings, calculations and bounded delivery tasks while retaining context across them, rather than treating every issue as a separate commission.

The arrangement gave the client ongoing access to senior engineering judgement without maintaining equivalent full-time capacity in-house.
Because context was retained across tasks, new issues could be picked up quickly, while larger packages could move into a more structured delivery route when required.
